Tim Neary
Service Officer - Army

Timothy grew up on the south side of Milwaukee and graduated from St. Francis high school in 2001. He joined the Wisconsin Army National Guard in June 2001. He served with Bravo Battery 1–126TH Field Artillery Unit, out of Oak Creek Wisconsin. For which he was deployed to Iraq, in support of operation Iraq freedom, from August 2003 to October 2005. He also volunteered to go to Yuma, Arizona in support of the border patrol from June 2006 to April 2007.

Timothy volunteered to deploy to Iraq once again with Bravo Company 256TH BSB, out of Kenosha Wisconsin from February 2009 to January 2010. Timothy served in the Army National Guard for 13 years before he decided to move on. After his service, he wanted to do more for veterans and got a position with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Veterans Outreach Services as a Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist, working out of Waukesha Wisconsin. He then took a position in Racine Wisconsin at the workforce development center as a Employment and Training Specialist conducting reemployment services classes and presentations.

In January 2012, Timothy accepted a position with the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs as a Claims Officer. He conducted Board of Veterans Appeals hearings and representing, advocating for veterans to obtain their VA benefits. After six years working with the WDVA claims office, Timothy was awarded the opportunity to work for the VFW service office as a claim consultant.
