Ron Ramos
Past State Commander - Marines

Past State Commander Ron Ramos is a Gold Legacy Life member of VFW Post 2115 in Hudson, Wisconsin. Since joining the Veterans of Foreign Wars in 2015, Ron has held numerous leadership roles including Trustee, Adjutant, Service Officer, Junior Vice Commander, Senior Vice Commander, and Post Commander. His dedicated service at the post level propelled him to serve the Department in multiple capacities, ultimately leading to his election as State Commander for the 2023–2024 year—and again for the 2024–2025 year. His back-to-back terms mark a rare and respected achievement in the Department’s history.

A native of The Bronx, New York, Ron found a new purpose and community in the VFW after relocating to Wisconsin. He credits the organization with saving his life and reigniting his passion to serve. His eligibility for the VFW stems from his service in the United States Marine Corps, where he deployed multiple times to Iraq and Afghanistan. Ron served as a Data Analyst and System Administrator supporting both rotary and fixed-wing aircraft squadrons.

Outside the VFW, Ron works as a veterinary technician with a special interest in animal dentistry and surgery. He shares his life in River Falls with his fiancé Lexi, who is also a veterinary technician, their daughter Adrianna, one loyal dog named Tucker, and three cats: Zoe, CJ, and Tazz. In his spare time, Ron enjoys working on his beloved Subaru Outback—affectionately dubbed the "Dad Wagon”—tinkering with graphic design projects, and spending time with his family.

Ron remains a passionate advocate for veterans, dedicated to ensuring that no one is left behind and that every veteran’s voice is heard.
